A Century of Friendship, Community & Purpose

For nearly 100 years, the American Women’s Club Antwerp (AWC Antwerp) has been a welcoming community for English-speaking women from around the world. Whether you're new to Belgium or a longtime expat, the club offers a place to connect, belong, and thrive — socially, culturally, and philanthropically.

AWC Antwerp brings together women of all ages and backgrounds — from professionals and mothers to retirees — united by a shared desire for friendship, support, and connection. Members enjoy coffee mornings, book clubs, cultural outings, charity drives, and festive events in a warm, inclusive setting.

Beyond friendship, the club is dedicated to giving back, with a strong tradition of supporting local organizations and causes in the Antwerp area.

In 2029, AWC Antwerp will celebrate 100 years of empowering women and building community. Since the late 1920s, the club has helped women navigate life abroad with friendship, purpose, and a sense of home.
