This privacy policy details the use of personal data collected by the American Women’s Club of Antwerp (AWC Antwerp. Because you provide us personal information as a member of our organization, we are a “controller” of personal information as defined by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
AWC Antwerp collects the following data voluntarily from you:
Personal contact information, including name (*), address, email address(*), phone number, etc.)
Demographics, including nationality(*), date of birth, name and nationality of partner and children
Biographics, including interests/hobbies and career background and a photo of yourself
Club related, including how you found out about the club and how you could volunteer or support the club*
Items marked with an * are required as part of your application for membership
You directly provide AWC Antwerp with most of the data we collect.
We also collect and processes data when you:
Register online to become a member or sign up for club activities.
Voluntarily complete a survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
Complete our online member application.
AWC Antwerp collects your data so that we can:
Process your membership and manage your account, including and notification of any changes to our services.
Email you with information about club events and activities, and opportunities for you to get involved.
Prepare a Membership Directory.
Allow other members to learn about each other
Invite you to participate in club activities and events as well as those of our associated organizations
Respond to and investigate your questions, comments, support needs, complaints, or concerns
When AWC Antwerp processes your event or activity registration, it will share your data with the organizers of the activity.
AWC Antwerp will keep the information from your membership application for as long as you are a member.
Once your membership has expired, we will delete your data from our electronic record within one year.
Membership Directories remain in our archives.
