Notre-Dame Cathedral, Paris

After six years, Notre-Dame is once again open to the public, and our club has been invited for a unique look inside. Rebecca Defraites, AWG Paris, has volunteered to guide us through this awe-inspiring cathedral, this magnificent witness to countless historical events, wars and revolutions.

We plan to spend the day in Paris, arriving early and returning to Antwerp in the early evening. Rebecca has also suggested lunch spots near the cathedral and a possible river tour. However, if you prefer to go on the tour and then spend the rest of the day doing your own thing, that is perfectly okay too.  Please indicate your preferences in the poll below. 

This is a complex invitation, so please read it carefully before registering.

Tour Attendance Limit: 25 participants

(We may have the option of adding a second tour. So please add your name to the waiting list if spaces on the original tour are no longer available). 

Registration Fee & Payment:

• Registration Fee: €10 per person (to be donated to Communautés d’Accueil dans les Sites Artistiques (CASA), a volunteer organization offering guides to various sites throughout France.

• Deadline to register for options listed in the poll below (river cruise, lunch): Monday, May 26, 2025

• Deadline to register for just the tour: June 30, 2025

Please note cancellations after the deadlines cannot be refunded.

Places that have not been paid for by the deadlines will be given to those on the Waiting List.

Practical details travelling to and from Paris:

• You are responsible for procuring your train tickets travelling to Paris.

• The current early bird price, train departing at 07:35 from Brussels Midi, is approximately €49. The return journey, departing at 17:55, arriving at 19:17 at Brussels Midi, is approximately €35. This fare is not a constant, and may change at the time of booking of the tickets.

• Please note that the above fare does not include the train fare Antwerp Centraal to Brussels Midi.

• There is also a train that goes direct from Antwerp to Paris, but it is more expensive.

Practical details travelling in Paris:

• Metro tickets can be purchased on the Eurostar. (This is the preferred option.)

• There are members very familiar with Paris who will guide the group.
