October MMM - Pillow Party at AZ Klina, Brasschaat

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we will mark it with a pillow-making party at AZ Klina in Brasschaat.

AZ Klina is an important partner hospital in Antwerp, one of the four hospitals with a Breast Cancer Lounge sponsored by AWC Antwerp.

We will have the opportunity to meet the Breast Cancer Unit staff, make pillows and showcase our project to patients, guests, staff and doctors, who are all invited to stop by.

Refreshments will be served.

The meeting venue will be signposted by the hospital.

Thursday, October 16 from 09:00 until 12.30.

9:00: Doors open and registration  
9:30: Welcome by President of AWC Antwerp 
9:35 – 10:30: Presentations (Patients can also join this)
·         Dr Dullens, oncologist, medical coordinator Breast Centre: Prevention and awareness in breast cancer
·         Dr Biltjes, radiologist: The role of radiology in the diagnosis of breast cancer
10:30 - 12:30: Pillow making and possibility to visit our breast lounge ( in groups of max. 5 persons)

Registration:

A registration fee is €10, to be donated to Caring Hearts for the purchase of materials needed throughout the year.

Transport: 

Linda and Barbara offered to pick up city members at the Kapellen station and Marja can accommodate 4 ladies in her car. Please contact Tharien at vanecktharien@gmail if you should need transport from the city.
