Built in 1928 for banker David van Buuren, the museum’s interior is often described as a masterpiece of the art-deco style. Furniture, sculptures, windows and paintings remain just as they did nearly a century ago.  

As if the museum isn’t stunning enough on its own, it is also partnering with the Brussels Fashion & Lace Museum for an exhibit dedicated to fashion from the 1920s and 1930s. 

You don’t want to miss this one. It will be well-worth the journey.

Costs &  Payment

Cost: 13 euros for AWCA members; 15 euros for guests and FAWCO member clubs. 

Payment does not include admission to the museum, which is 15 euros and may be purchased on site.

The deadline for registration is Friday, January 16.

Please note that places that have not been paid for by the deadline will be given to those on the Waiting List. Cancellations after the deadline cannot be refunded.

Practical Details

Meeting place:  Museum entrance, Leo Erraralaan 41, Uccle

Meeting time: 11:15, which gives us plenty of time to purchase entrance tickets. The tour begins right at 11:30 so please be sure to purchase your entrance tickets before then. 

The tour will last about 1.5 hours.

Travel considerations: It will take roughly one hour and 15 minutes to get to the museum from Antwerp Centraal Station. I suggest we meet at Antwerp Centraal around 9:30 and travel together. 

Once registration is complete, I will create a WhatsApp group so we can arrange all the travel details.
